I'm a chronic picture hog.
Before digital cameras, I would take pictures on a trip promising my hosts that I would "get doubles." Only half the time would I ever get the film developed. Now with a digital camera I can take tons of photos with the promise of getting them up on a photo share site or e-mailing them to my friends. I've been terrible at this, too. I resolved this year to do a better job of letting my friends see the wild places I like to go. That sometimes means the New York City jungle or the wilds of suburban Columbus, Ohio, but more often it's the mountains, deserts and rivers of Utah, the glorious sawtooth basin in Idaho and as often as possible Alaska _ the best money the U.S. government ever spent.
